Squeeze Winery Syrah

Squeeze Winery Syrah

We all know how brilliant the Argentinians are at producing world-class Malbec. Now it’s time to discover their skill at crafting stylish Syrah. This traditional French varietal takes on new complexity when cultivated in the prolific Mendoza region, promising lush fruit, bold structure, and layer upon layer of flavor.

First, appreciate the rich, dark ruby color, which promises bold flavors to come. One of the things we love best about great wine is the type of aromas that drift up from the glass. Wine can smell like flowers, smoke, and just about everything else…including fruit. This one reminded me of roses, plus strong hints of raspberry and blackberry.

Since it’s such a bold, full-bodied wine, pair it with rich meat dishes, like steak grilled with herbs de Provence, or other charcoal-broiled meats. It will also pair with pork, duck, turkey, and other dense meats and poultry.

As you know, tannin provides structure to red wines. While Syrah usually contains a generous amount of tannin (to put it mildly) the Squeeze Winery is much more delicate, so you can enjoy it right away, or save it to open in two or three years.
