2018 Year in Review

Wow! What a year – 2018 was quite the roller coaster. Join us as we look back at some of our best moments and biggest achievements!

With service excellence as a core value here at Direct Cellars, we worked from 9 to wine to expedite shipping, improve the quality of the wines brought to you through our tasting club and introduced our very own proprietary blends.

In February, we hopped a plane to the Sin City for our ‘Crush It’ Uncorked event at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. We heard from industry leaders, recognized and celebrated DC top leaders, enjoyed fine dining and creating unforgettable moments.

In March, we rolled out some new programs including the launch of the following:

By May, we crossed the globe and launched Direct Cellars in Australia. We have more new markets on the horizon include Germany & Oklahoma. Sip Sip Hooray!

You probably saw a lot of shifts in our social media this year. We pivoted our focus towards community, product (wine!) and fun. And our following continues to grow… Are you following us on Instagram and Facebook?

Also, we gave away A LOT of wine this year… because we believe the best wine is wine that’s shared! And our members earned it for their hard work and stomping milestones month after month.

By Summer, we had an entire arsenal full of new marketing materials available through VistaPrint so our Brand Partners could personalize and purchase branded business tools in US, UK and Australia!

In September, we stepped off the plane in New Orleans for another Uncorked event where DC President Kevin Raulston “Jazzed It Up” on stage with all his BIG announcements. The one that really got members jazzin’ was introducing our BRAND NEW rank of Cellar Director! OH, and we had an unforgettable team building experience dancing together down Bourbon Street following a Second Line Parade… that was an epic moment! Watch the recap video.

In October, we hosted our first-ever Wine Weekend Getaway in Napa Valley, CA for members who achieved our monthly business building challenge. Fine dining, incredible tours, delightful wines all with an amazing group of people!

In November, when most people were ramping up for the holidays, we were focused on something else! We introduced a way for our Brand Partners to build a custom case of wine through our Back Office! Yes, Way Chardonnay! Oh, and we launched Direct Cellars Connect, a prospecting app for all markets, which included 5 videos to use for prospecting… all from the palm of your hand.

So many of our incredible members joined us at Regional Events throughout the year from the UK to Australia and here in the US including California, New York and at our DC home office of Kansas City, Missouri!

    up. Grrrr… well I’m not writing all that over again.
